Position Overview
We are seeking Senior Electrical Estimators to own the full‑cycle electrical estimating process for large‑scale industrial and commercial projects. This role combines estimating expertise with project management responsibilities and requires strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and cost controls.
The ideal candidate has experience managing and estimating projects valued at $5M+, is comfortable interfacing with clients, and can deliver accurate, competitive, and timely bids.
Key Responsibilities- Own full‑cycle electrical estimating, including labor, materials, equipment, and indirect costs
- Analyze electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and bid documents
- Interpret customer bid requirements and prepare complete, detailed estimates for review and closing
- Prepare RFQs, solicit subcontractor and supplier pricing, and maintain vendor/subcontractor lists
- Draft proposals, including specialty scope requirements where applicable
- Interface directly with clients as an Estimator–Project Manager
- Manage administrative and direct labor activities throughout project execution
- Track and collect project costs (materials, labor, equipment)
- Conduct post‑project cost analysis to support continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with quality construction standards, building codes, and safety regulations
- Estimate engineering and technical project costs based on scope and risk analysis
- Identify cost uncertainties and incorporate risk mitigation into pricing models
- Manage and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle
- 5+ years of electrical construction estimating and project management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or relevant trade certification
- Proven experience in estimating and managing industrial projects valued at $5M+
- Proficiency with electrical estimating software (Accubid strongly preferred)
- Experience using project management software
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Scheduling software experience preferred
