Assistant Controller

This position is designed for growth - You won't sit in a corner reconciling accounts all day (though, yes, you'll reconcile accounts - and do them well).

• Preparing an owning pieces of the monthly close
• Building and improving reporting processes
• Partnering with operational leaders
• Supporting likely acquisitions, due diligence, and integrations
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives
• Helping shape both effective and efficient internal controls as we grow
• Assisting with financial statement preparation and monthly close
• Supporting AR, AP, and general ledger processes
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing system integrations (Net Suite / Quick Books experience helpful)
• Overseeing multi-state sales tax and federal excise tax reporting
• Maintaining and track fixed assets
• Providing financial analysis to business leaders
• Supporting audits and compliance initiatives
• Driving process improvement projects

• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities

• Flexible in a fast-changing environment
• Energized by ownership and accountability

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• Public accounting experience is a plus

• A clearly defined path to Controller
• Direct involvement with likely acquisitions
• Ability to learn new tools and technology, including AI
• Lots of variety, including exposure to multiple operating companies
