$57.76 - $80.86 – hourly pay determined by expertise and years of experience.

Exciting opportunity to join Endeavor Health in the Hospital Medicine Department. Under the direction of collaborating physicians, provides care to patients. Obtains detailed history, performs physical examinations, orders imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures, and interprets results. Instructs patients on therapeutic regimens and pre/post‑operative instructions. Maintains records and writes progress notes on status, treatments and procedures. Follows patients through their course of treatment in clinic and hospital settings.

Collaborates with physicians and the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Prescribes pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic therapies as appropriate. Demonstrates evidence‑based practice. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice in the specialty. Assesses the learning needs of patients and families across the continuum. Employs strategies, interventions and teaching to promote, maintain, and improve health. Provides comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribes treatments under the protocol in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease.

Promotes wellness and prevents illness and injury. Works autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as resources and consultants. Positively contributes to safety outcomes and promotes high quality patient experience. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of service line goals. Supports the strategic plan of the organization. Adheres to all Endeavor Health policies and procedures.

• Provide direct patient care as a hospitalist in inpatient settings.
• Perform and document physical exams, order diagnostics, and interpret results.
• Develop and implement patient care plans, including pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families and facilitate discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and progress notes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and comply with hospital policies and procedures.

• License: Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) in IL;
  Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required.
• Education: Master’s degree in a specialty area.
• Certification: BLS/CPR certification required.
• Experience: Prior APN/PA experience preferred.
