Structural Engineer

New engineers work closely with all levels of engineers in the company and have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects.

Day to Day:

• Preparing PE / SE stamped design plans and calculations for temporary and permanent systems on construction projects
• Design using steel, concrete, timber, and masonry construction materials
• Written and verbal communication with general contractors and engineering/drafting project team
• Some travel to project sites around the U.S.

Requirements:

• Experience
• Preferably – 3 years of experience working full-time for an engineering firm or construction company or
• 12 months of experience working full-time for an engineering firm or construction company, or
• 18 months of experience working part-time for an engineering firm or construction company, or
• (1) 8-week minimum internships with an engineering firm or construction company
• Degree
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in
• Civil Engineering (structural focus), or
• Architectural Engineering
• Coursework

• Code Knowledge
• EIT licensure by hire date
