New engineers work closely with all levels of engineers in the company and have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects.
Day to Day:
- Preparing PE / SE stamped design plans and calculations for temporary and permanent systems on construction projects
- Design using steel, concrete, timber, and masonry construction materials
- Written and verbal communication with general contractors and engineering/drafting project team
- Some travel to project sites around the U.S.
Requirements:
- Experience
- Preferably – 3 years of experience working full-time for an engineering firm or construction company or
- 12 months of experience working full-time for an engineering firm or construction company, or
- 18 months of experience working part-time for an engineering firm or construction company, or
- (1) 8-week minimum internships with an engineering firm or construction company
- Degree
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in
- Civil Engineering (structural focus), or
- Architectural Engineering
- Coursework
- structural analysis

- Code Knowledge
- EIT licensure by hire date
