An educational opportunity is available for experienced Special Education Teachers to support elementary-level students in an engaging and supportive learning environment. These full-time contract positions focus on providing tailored instruction within self-contained and resource settings for young learners.
Positions Available- Elementary Self-Contained Special Education Teacher
- Elementary Resource Special Education Teacher (Pre-K to Grade
2)
- Evanston, IL area
- Current School Year contract, with availability from ASAP through June 5, 2026 (emergency days pending)
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Deliver specialized instruction in self-contained and resource classroom settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies as needed
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
- Valid Illinois Special Education Teaching License
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in self-contained and resource environments
- Strong understanding of special education laws, current practices, and instructional methodologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Approximately 32.5 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
- Full-time contract for the school year term
