Overview
We are seeking a Driver
- Concierge to perform concierge services and provide quality transportation for residents and guests. The role coordinates concierge services and is part of a self-directed team that delivers: an extraordinary greeting to residents, family, and visitors of The Mather; exceptional, efficient customer service of concierge tasks; creative, positive planning and delivery of programming; safe, efficient and fun transportation. Creates meaningful moments in the lives of residents, visitors, and staff by demonstrating extraordinary behaviors.
This position is part-time (30 hours/week), hourly, with weekend and holiday availability required.
ScheduleThe schedule for this position is:
Friday 8:00am-4:00pm or 8:30am-4:30pm, Saturday 10:00am-6:00pm, Sunday 10:00am-6:00pm, Monday 8:00am-4:00pm or 8:30am-4:30pm. Availability to cover other days and shifts required.
Essential FunctionsAs a Driver:
- Safely and efficiently transport residents in Mather.
- Complete required vehicle safety inspections prior to each trip.
- Maintain vehicles, mechanically and aesthetically, according to maintenance schedule.
- Maintain a daily check log, service log, and other pertinent records.
- Work to continually improve scheduling and transportation service to maintain on-time performance within a reasonable margin, weather permitting.
- Identify areas for improvement, propose possible solutions, and participate in data collection and process changes as part of the Quality Assurance Process Improvement process.
As a Concierge:
- Coordinate concierge schedule and daily operations.
- Maintain systems for secure storage and distribution of keys and key cards used by concierge and other experience centers.
- Provide administrative support for updating, storing and distributing directories, Concierge handbook, safety and emergency procedures, parking assignments, training materials and participation, and other documents necessary to provide exceptional and efficient concierge services.
- Listen to resident concerns and requests; guide to existing solutions, communicate issues to appropriate experience centers; follow up to ensure positive and meaningful experiences for residents.
- Maintain systems to receive, record, store and distribute information.
- Provide transportation reservations.
- Maintain daily check log, service log and other pertinent records.
- Complete incident reports for emergencies; and feed forward non-emergency information to assure efficient communication between concierge, supervisors and other experience centers.
- Ensure proper programming, resetting and functioning of emergency pendants; respond to pendant alarms; and monitor building entrances for safety/security.
- Coordinate guest suite processes to ensure exceptional experiences for guests including reservations, check-in/check-out, key cards and housekeeping; maintain calendars; send reminders to experience centers; and create billing summaries for accounting.
- Identify areas for improvement, propose possible solutions, and participate in data collection and process changes as part of the Quality Assurance Process Improvement process.
Required:
- Customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.
- College or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with older adults.
- Willingness to be part of a self-directed team.

Preferred:
The hourly base wage range is a good faith estimate of the range Mather reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting. The actual hourly base wage paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, geographic location and market changes. The position is also eligible to participate in Mather benefit plans and Employee Appreciation Fund.
Hourly Pay Range: $20 USD - $21.50 USD
