Annual Salary: $77,237 – $83,416
Salaries and Benefits- $77,237.00 minimum, $83,416.00 maximum. The maximum applies only if all minimum qualifications are met and the candidate has five (5) years of additional applicable experience and/or higher degrees. The stated salary amounts are not guaranteed in the event employment ends during any fiscal year.

Aims Community College supports a mission of innovation and care. The Network, Infrastructure and Communication Systems (NIC) team manages network design, performance, troubleshooting, maintenance, and system administration across multiple campuses and data centers using Palo Alto firewalls, Extreme switches, Aruba wireless controllers, Clear Pass, VMware/Hyper‑V, SANs, Dell hardware, Windows and Linux servers, Avaya Cloud Office, Team Dynamix ESM, and Veeam backup.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and enhance college network infrastructure for wired and wireless systems; monitor and troubleshoot as necessary.
- Configure Windows and Linux network settings; diagnose and resolve performance issues and bottlenecks.
- Monitor and manage daily operations of networks, servers, and critical IT systems; maintain vulnerability patch management.
- Check monitoring systems daily, create tickets, and resolve issues.
- Research, propose, and implement IT‑based solutions for the college.
- Conduct product research, AP and switch configurations, hypervisor network configurations, device builds, and implementations including lift‑install‑move of servers and devices.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network function, and telecommunications for all systems; assist IT peers.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware (servers, network equipment, wireless access points) across campuses.
- Document processes, procedures, equipment details, configurations, and notes in the departmental knowledge base.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or related field plus four (4) years of experience repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting wired and wireless networks, multiple server environments, operating software applications, and computers in a dynamic datacenter environment. Knowledge of fiber networks or equivalent education/experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and networking for virtual servers.
- Proficiency in network and switch configuration, installation, testing, and monitoring procedures.
- Applicable certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNE, A+, Net+, Extreme).
- Use of a company vehicle for business travel; must pass an MVR and be insurable under Aims insurance.
