LPN; Neuro - Part time - Jefferson

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of licensed professionals who can prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Provides complex assessment, aggressive therapies and interventions, and continuous vigilance for neuro and pulmonary patients, including those on high‑flow oxygen, BiPAP, tracheostomies, or chest tubes.
• Works closely with the Stroke Coordinator and utilizes tele‑neuro services as needed.
• Conducts frequent assessments to detect subtle changes in condition for acute stroke and TIA patients.
• Provides stroke education.

• Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited school.
• Current LPN license in the state (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
• IV Certification within 1 year.

• Premium Night Shift Sign‑On Bonus:
  Graduate LPN $3,000;
  Experienced LPN $4,000;
  Neuro LPN.
• Schedule:
  
  24 hours per week, nights.
• Location:
  
  Mercy Hospital Jefferson, Festus, MO 63028.
• Unit:
  Neuro/Pulmonary Stroke Unit.
