Telecom Field Technician

Vero Networks is seeking a Telecom Field Technician based in Eureka, CA, responsible for on-site client installation, repairs, and maintenance of equipment.

The ideal candidate is prompt, reliable, has excellent support skills, and communicates effectively. A proven track record of high client satisfaction and a motivation to provide excellent service are preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all network field activities on Vero Broadband network.
• Install and test new customer services at residential or business locations.
• Perform fiber splicing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network outages and issues.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat.
• Climb and work at heights exceeding 18 feet using ladders or lift trucks.
• Read and interpret network diagrams and detailed instructions.
• Operate company vehicles safely.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Technical Support, and Service Delivery teams for installations and service calls.

Qualifications:

• Experience with fiber optic and Cat6 cable installation preferred.
• Experience with wireless equipment configuration such as Ubiquiti, Cambium, and Nokia is a plus.
• Ability to handle various fiber optic cables, including single mode and multimode.
• Willingness to work in confined spaces if necessary.
• Attention to detail and adherence to standards.
• Strong sense of accountability for safety, quality, and productivity.
• Flexible to work long hours based on project needs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and carry ladders.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
