Lactation Educator RN – St. Joseph Hospital
Location:
St. Joseph Hospital, Eureka, CA
Position:
Part‑time, 8‑hour day shifts
Accountable for the direct and indirect care of infants and women in inpatient and outpatient clinic settings. Responsible for postpartum maternal and neonatal assessments. Develops feeding plans to address the nutritional needs of the infant, including but not limited to breastfeeding support, breast pumping support, or supplementation as appropriate. Provides lactation support and education to mothers in outpatient or discharge settings.
Required Qualifications- California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.
- Minimum 2 years experience providing lactation care in Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, or NICU department, or in an outpatient mother‑baby clinical setting.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant upon hire.
- Certified Lactation Consultant upon hire.
- Lactation Educator upon hire.
