Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with ARRT certification, BLS, and at least 2 years of recent experience in mammography for a day shift assignment.
Responsibilities- Work in an acute care hospital setting within the mammography department
- Patient population consists of adult and geriatric individuals requiring screening and diagnostic mammograms
- Epic EMR is used and experience with Epic is required
- Day shifts, 5x8 hours, from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- No on-call required
- Open to block scheduling (Sat-Mon) if needed
- Travelers may be required to float to sister facilities within the region as needed
- Dark solid color scrubs required for radiology
- Must be able to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays:
Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year - Travelers must include all requested time off at the time of application; approval based on facility needs
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as travelers and must live outside a 50-mile radius
- Returning travelers must wait 3 months before returning
- Free parking is provided initially, with assignment parking given during orientation
- Completion of pre-start and annual online modules required
- Travelers are expected to float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals if needed
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate due to the 50-mile radius rule
- Current BLS certification and ARRT certification are required
- ARRT Advanced Mammography and valid CA State License required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in mammography
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references from the past 3 years in a comparable setting needed for consideration
