Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, ARRT, ARRT Advanced, BLS, and a valid CA license for a day shift position.
Responsibilities- Position is in an acute care hospital with a staffed bed capacity of 150
- Work in a dedicated mammography unit with no required floating between like units, but may float to sister facilities nearby
- Day shifts, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with block scheduling options Sat-Mon
- No on-call required
- Radiology staff wear dark solid color scrubs
- Uses Epic EMR system;
Epic experience required - Patient population includes adult women presenting for screening and diagnostic mammography
- Primary responsibilities include performing screening and diagnostic mammograms in accordance with safety and quality standards
- Must be willing to float to affiliate facilities as needed
- Travelers are expected to work 2 out of 3 major holidays:
Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year - May only submit to one location within the region during assignment consideration
- Return staff must have a minimum 3-month gap before returning as a traveler
- 50-mile radius rule applies for local candidates; locals accepted at a lower rate
- Free parking provided initially with assignment parking issued during orientation
- Pre-assignment and annual online modules are required
- Requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; approval is based on facility need
- Minimum of 2 years’ recent mammography experience required
- Active ARRT and ARRT Advanced registration
- Current BLS certification
- Valid California Radiologic Technologist license required (license required if applicable)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must provide at least 2 supervisory references from the last 3 years in a comparable setting
