Title: Mammography Technologist

Location: Eureka, CA

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 – 17:30)

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams following established protocols.

• Operate and maintain mammography equipment, including 3D mammography systems.

• Assist with interventional breast procedures such as stereotactic biopsies, needle localizations, and fine needle aspirations.

• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during procedures.

• Follow radiation safety guidelines, infection control standards, and PPE protocols.

• Accurately document procedures and patient information using electronic charting systems.

• Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary teams to support high-quality patient care.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of mammography experience.

• Active ARRT certification.

• ARRT Advanced Mammography certification.

• Active California Mammography Technologist license.

• Current BLS certification.

• Experience performing screening and diagnostic mammograms.

• Proficiency with 3D mammography technology.

• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (Epic preferred).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with stereotactic biopsy procedures.

• Experience using Hologic 3D mammography equipment and biopsy systems.

• Strong knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient imaging environment.
