We are seeking dedicated and highly skilled Neurological Surgeons to join our esteemed medical team. This locum role offers a unique opportunity to provide expert surgical care and support during select dates, contributing to complex spine case management and patient recovery. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality neurological surgical services, ensuring optimal patient outcomes in a dynamic healthcare environment.

What You Will Need:

• Active California Medical License and CA DEA registration.
• Board Certification in Neurosurgery or Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency.
• Valid FLURO certification (temporary FLURO accepted).
• Recent surgical experience with a minimum of 100 cases in the past 24 months related to privileges.
• Current hospital clinical activity for at least 2 years in neurosurgery.
• Ability to perform complex spine procedures.
• Willingness to cover scheduled clinics and on-call shifts, including night and weekend coverage.
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach.

Preferred

Skills:

• Additional certifications in airway management are not required but are a plus.
• Experience with complex spine cases and an understanding of inpatient care.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to variable schedules and work effectively under pressure.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

• MD or DO degree with neurosurgical specialization.
• Board certification or eligibility as specified.
• At least 2 years of recent, relevant hospital clinical activity in neurosurgery.
• Proven case volume history aligning with privilege requirements.

Additional Requirements:

• Flexibility to work scheduled dates from May 17, 2026, through January 4, 2027, with potential for additional dates.
• Coverage includes clinic, day, night, and weekend call duties.
• Approved OT and privileging process with documentation of 100+ recent cases.
• No airway certifications required.
• Willingness to submit all privileging documentation promptly; typical processing times are 48-72 hours for RFA and up to 90 days for full privileging.
