Physician​/Surgery - Neurological​/California​/Physician - Surgery - Neurosurgery in California

• Schedule: 8:30am-5pm weekdays (clinic and call), then night call 5pm-8:30am; 24-hour call coverage on weekends. Guaranteed 8 hours per day with OT after 9 hours per day (must be approved by clinical operations). Multiple coverage periods available from May 2026 through January 2027 with potential for additional dates.
• Job Setting: Hospital System, Trauma Level 3
• Types of Cases: Complex spine cases, general neurosurgery (adult and trauma), spinal surgery with and without instrumentation (cervical, thoracic, lumbar), placement of ICP monitors. Tumors and VP shunt preferred. Application of external traction preferred. 100 cases within the past 24 months specific to privileges being requested required for privileging process. 5 patient encounters per shift.
• Credentialing: 60-90 days typical privileging timeline. Temporary privilege eligibility possible once file is completed. RFA turnaround 48-72 hours. Application should be submitted within 5 days. 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in specialty required. Gaps greater than 3 months must be explained. Case logs required upon presentation.

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Must be Board Certified or truly Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency
• Certifications: FLURO certification required (temporary FLURO acceptable). Fellowship required.
• Licensure: Active CA License and CA DEA. IMLC not accepted.
