Overview

The Freight/Receiving role at The Home Depot involves ensuring the store is stocked and ready for business. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, moving material from the receiving area throughout the store, and potentially operating forklifts. The role may involve maintaining proper on-hands and pricing for customers, and direct customer interaction is frequently required. The Freight/Receiving positions may include Freight Team Associate, Freight Team Lead, Receiving Associate and Receiving Support.

• Load and unload trucks and move merchandise from the receiving area throughout the store.
• Operate forklifts where required and perform tasks to maintain accurate on-hands and pricing for customers.
• Provide excellent customer service as needed.
• Assist with other duties within Freight/Receiving as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; related work experience may be considered.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other equipment where required (training provided).
• Customer service skills and ability to interact with customers in a retail environment.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items and perform physical tasks as needed.
