Quality Control Assistant

Position Summary

We are hiring for a full time Quality Assistant to support our Quality Manager in ensuring that finished goods meet all production and quality standards. The Assistant will focus on identifying any variations, communicating with operators and managers to resolve any issues, and suggesting improvements in production processes to reduce errors or to increase operational efficiency.

Reliability, commitment and attention to detail are essential to this role.

• Collect inspect and organize product samples throughout the production process
• Collaborate with team members to ensure that the process requirements for each job are met and Communicate variations or concerns with urgency
• Help prepare and review reports on quality issues and updates to procedures or training to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Adhere to all production safety guidelines including Good Manufacturing Principles (GMP) and SQF (food safety) guidelines.

• Basic computer skills (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets)
• Able to use simple inspection tools such as rulers, micrometer and calipers
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• US work authorization required, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship

• Working knowledge of root cause reporting, 5S and/or Lean Manufacturing
• Knowledge of audit processes for SQF certificate (or similar)
• English-Spanish Bilingual

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts, and is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals (masks and gloves are available for employee use). The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Employees are required to wear safety shoes.
