Nissan Service Technician

We are looking for a Nissan Service Technician to join our growing team in The Dalles, OR! The right candidate will have a strong service technician background and preferably be ASE certified. The day-to-day duties include performing work on specific repair orders and diagnosing necessary repairs.

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and according to dealership standards.

Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.

Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers of additional service needs and provide estimates for repairs.

Execute repairs under warranty according to manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent.

B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair.

Dexterity, with a steady hand and excellent hand-eye coordination.

Mechanical and troubleshooting skills, and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.

Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.

Positive, friendly attitude, and eagerness to improve.

Ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Teammate with the ability to collaborate effectively

Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications.

Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
