The primary responsibility of the position is to ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counting of inventories, reporting discrepancies, and posting approved cycle counts, consistent with good business practices. Must retain proper records that support the counts and maintain reports which verify the timeliness and scope of the counts.

Key Activities & Responsibilities
  • Conduct scheduled physical counts of inventoried material in specific areas of the company and generates count reports.
  • Reconcile result of physical counts with system records.
  • Determine root cause of count variances (i.e. material pulled by line and not recorded, material handling transfer error, bill of material inaccuracy, etc.) and proactively collaborate with other departments to remediate the issue and prohibit future occurrences
  • Post vetted cycle count adjustments in ERP system.
  • Independently analyze count variances and propose plans for rectification.
  • Essential role in the preparation for and execution of yearly physical inventory counts.
  • Prepare cumulative inventory adjustment reports and other data as required by Accounting, Material Planners, Supply Chain, etc.
  • Determines causes of variances between computer records and physical counts, such as data entry errors, EC rule errors or worker errors due to removing inventory without notation.
  • Must be able to work effectively with other departments on problem resolution.
  • Must be able to work independently with very little assistance.
  • Ability to perform all job duties with accuracy and completeness.
To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0-2 years of experience required.
  • Physical inventory and cycle counting experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel).
  • Epicor or Oracle ERP system experience.
  • Utilize RF equipment to perform necessary product moves in the system.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs., walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to formulate solutions and resolve issues in a timely matter.
  • Must be able to count, multiply and divide.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in building cross‑functional partnerships.
  • Forklift experience.
