What you’ll be doing

You will perform maintenance and highly specialized repairs or improvements to the community building(s) and equipment.
Pay: $20.40 - $23.65 / hr DOE

  • Actively participate in departmental training and create inviting, resident‑focused experiences while engaging with residents, guests, and co‑workers in a gracious, attentive, and courteous manner.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair community access control systems and related hardware, ensuring reliable and secure operation across the campus.
  • Perform general maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems and equipment, supporting the safe and efficient functioning of community facilities.
  • Respond to community alarms, IL pendant calls, and emergency situations as a calm, knowledgeable first responder, coordinating with security and local agencies and following established emergency procedures.
About you:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering, maintenance, MEP, HVAC, or a related trade, with preferred certifications in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or universal refrigerant recovery.
  • Skilled in operating, repairing, and maintaining shop equipment and tools, with knowledge of maintenance‑related chemicals and fire prevention, suppression, and alarm systems.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret specifications, plans, mechanical drawings, and labels, paired with effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of CMMS, BAS, and EMS systems and the ability to apply these tools in daily maintenance and facility operations.
