PAPE’ GROUP, INC.

- EUGENE, OR - CORPORATE AUTOMATION ANALYST:

Are you energized by turning messy, manual processes into clean, automated workflows? Do you enjoy working with APIs, code, and AI models? Are you excited about building practical automation solutions that deliver measurable impact? If you answered yes, we want to hear from you!

At Pape’, we invest in your growth. From robust training programs to continuous support, we equip our team members with the tools to succeed. In return for your hard work, we offer competitive compensation, exceptional benefits, and a strong work-life balance designed to support you and your family.

Make a difference. Grow your career. Join the Pape’ Team!

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

At Pape’, we’re building an automation and AI capability designed to make work simpler, smarter, and more efficient. We’re looking for an Automation Analyst who thrives at the intersection of business and technology and is someone who can understand how work gets done today and design practical, impactful solutions for tomorrow.

In this blended role, you’ll partner with managers and frontline teams to uncover process pain points and opportunities. You’ll translate those conversations into clear process documentation and then build the solutions yourself. Using n8n, APIs, JavaScript, Python, and AI tools, you’ll create and maintain workflows that reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and connect critical systems. You’ll work hands‑on with REST APIs, webhooks, and structured data formats, incorporating AI capabilities such as summarization, classification, and intelligent automation where they create real value.

This is not purely a development role, but the technical depth is real. You’ll read API documentation, troubleshoot integrations, shape data, and continuously refine the automations you build. Just as important, you’ll communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders and help them understand what’s possible and what’s practical.

You will have an opportunity to play a foundational role in shaping how automation evolves across Pape’. Furthermore, as our automation and AI program expands, this role offers visibility, ownership, and growth opportunities. If you enjoy solving business problems with technology and want to build solutions that make a measurable difference, we’d love to meet you.

This is an in-office position and will work locally at our corporate office in Eugene, OR.

WHAT YOU NEED:
Technical Capabilities:
  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in software development, scripting, workflow automation, RPA, API integration, or similar technical work (including meaningful personal projects).
  • Comfortable working with JSON, XML, and HTML data formats.
  • Ability to read and write basic JavaScript or Type Script.
  • Understanding of HTTP/REST concepts (methods, headers, status codes, request/response bodies).
  • Familiarity with authentication patterns such as API keys and bearer tokens.
  • Experience using Postman or similar tools to call APIs and debug requests.
  • Basic familiarity with version control tools such as Git or Git Hub.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Experience with n8n and one or both of cursor and Claude code strongly preferred; familiarity with Zapier, Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Power Automate, .NET, C#, Ollama, or WSL is a plus!
Mindset &

Skills:
  • Strong interest in AI and workflow automation as a craft.
  • Ability to break down complex processes into logical steps and decision points.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable experimenting, testing hypotheses, and iterating on solutions.
  • Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and write clear instructions for others.
  • Self-directed learner who enjoys exploring new tools and technologies.
Why work for Pape’:
  • Competitive pay based on your skills, training, and experience…
