This is a true entry-level position with room to grow. You’ll gain exposure to the core functions of HR, work alongside experienced professionals, and build the foundation for a long-term career in Human Resources.
Job Duties- Assist with day-to-day operations and administrative support for the entire HR department, which includes the sub-departments of Human Resources, Payroll and Recruiting.
- Maintain employee records, files, and databases with accuracy.
- Respond to basic employee inquiries or direct them to the appropriate HR contact, organize, and update personnel documentation.
- Assist with data entry and tracking in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Assist with onboarding processes (pre-employment screening process, pre-hire documentation, onboarding checklists, and new hire anticipated tracker).
- Participate in the execution of employee recognition efforts (anniversaries, birthdays, welcome gifts).
- Organize and restock HR supplies (new hire folders, badges, company swag, etc.).
- Assist with internal communications (HR announcements, survey reminders, event invites).
- Assist and conduct departmental audits and document requests.
- Shadow and learn from senior HR staff during employee relations, compliance, or recruiting/onboarding processes.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Interest in Human Resources and eagerness to learn
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Comfortable working with confidential information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel) is strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Experience in recruiting or human resources is a PLUS
