Position Overview This is a hybrid role combining two important responsibilities:
This position is ideal for someone who is outgoing, dependable, and enjoys working with seniors in both recreational and caregiving capacities.
Key ResponsibilitiesActivities Coordination
- Develop, organize, and lead daily/weekly activity programs (arts & crafts, games, music, exercise, outings, etc.).
- Take residents on outings in the community such as shopping, going out to eat, fishing, etc.
- Encourage resident participation based on interests, abilities, and care needs.
- Foster a positive, fun, and inclusive environment.
- Maintain supplies and keep records of activities.
Caregiving (On-Call)
- Assist with personal care (ADLs: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility support).
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with meals, light housekeeping, and medication reminders (as directed).
- Step in as needed to cover shifts, ensuring smooth continuity of care.
- Must be able to safely lift and transfer up to 50–75 lbs, including assisting with repositioning and changing bed bound residents.
- Demonstrated ability to perform physical caregiving tasks such as lifting up to 75 lbs and providing full assistance with bed bound resident care.
- Requires the physical capability to lift, move, and reposition residents (up to 75 lbs) and to perform personal care for individuals who are bed bound.
- Verifiable experience working full-time with seniors or in a healthcare/assisted living setting for 1 year.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Creative, energetic, and organized with a passion for engaging activities.
- Ability to provide compassionate hands-on care when needed.
- Reliable, flexible, and comfortable working in a hybrid role.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass background check and meet state caregiving requirements.
- Part-time hybrid role (hours flexible, based on activities schedule and on-call needs).
- On-call shifts may include evenings, weekends, or holidays.
