Department Summary

The Lundquist College of Business is one of seven schools housing academic programs on the University of Oregon campus. Located 110 miles south of Portland, the University of Oregon has an enrollment of over 25,000. The Department of Operations and Business Analytics ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) is one of five academic units (accounting, finance, management, and marketing being the other four) that make up the Lundquist College of Business (Lundquist), which is one of nine colleges and schools within the University of Oregon (UO).

Position Summary

The Department of Operations and Business Analytics () in the Lundquist College of Business seeks talented pro tem faculty passionate about teaching and learning. Pro Tem faculty are qualified part-time instructors who are offered teaching opportunities based on course demand and staffing.

The Department is searching for qualified instructors as part of its pro tem faculty pool to teach Operations and Business Analytics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Courses are scheduled to be conducted on campus and in the classroom.

Candidates should be strongly committed to high‑quality undergraduate and graduate instruction, dedicated service to students, and contributing positively to our diverse community, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from a wide range of backgrounds. Pro tempore faculty responsibilities focus on teaching within their area of expertise.

Minimum Requirements

Instructor:

* Master's degree. In exceptional circumstances, a BA/BS degree and evidence of substantial professional experience may substitute for an advanced degree.

Professor of Practice:

* Substantial basis of experience equal to a tenured professor (normally a minimum of 12 years).

* National/international reputation for excellence reflected in a record of significant accomplishments.

* Profile of accumulated professional accomplishments.

* Rich and extensive background in the field.

Professional Competencies

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills that will enhance community relations and support undergraduate/graduate student training.

* Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and contribute to inclusive environments.

* Skill in effective teaching or instructional delivery.
