Hourly, Step 1 – Step 10 (see Part‑time Faculty Salary Schedule)

FLSA:
Exempt
- Provide high‑quality instruction in Geography courses (Natural Environment, Human Geography, World Geography) both online and in‑classroom.
- Fulfill essential functions: compliance with college policies, sustain curriculum currency, participate in faculty evaluation, maintain office hours, manage student records, adhere to FERPA standards, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Curriculum Delivery: develop course content, establish learning outcomes, use assessments to inform improvement, incorporate college values, and deliver content in traditional and online formats.
- Online Teaching and Student Support: engage students via RSI, monitor progress, provide coaching, grade assignments, respond timely to inquiries, meet Section 508 guidelines, and employ effective online teaching strategies.
- Equity and Inclusion: demonstrate social‑justice values, respect diversity, assist with ADA compliance, model cultural competency, and maintain an inclusive environment for all.
- Master’s degree in Geography or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
- Successful candidates must pass a criminal background check and reside in Oregon.
- Teaching experience with community‑college students.
- Experience teaching online and using learning management systems.
