- Applicant Notification: The Health Professions Department is seeking part‑time faculty to teach Massage Therapy at Lane’s main campus in Eugene, Oregon. This posting is for a 2025‑2026 application pool.

Education
- Completion of an accredited Massage Therapy pre‑licensing/certification program
- Evidence of completion of a teaching adult course or one year of teaching adults in massage therapy, staff development, or administration
Experience
- At least two years professional experience as an LMT, including one year of hands‑on practice in a board‑approved clinic/facility
Licensure & Certification
- Registered with Oregon State Board of Massage Therapists (OBMT) and hold an active, unencumbered Oregon Massage license
- Current CPR/BLS certification for healthcare providers and First Aid, or ability to obtain before employment
Conditions of Employment
- Required vaccines at time of employment:
Hepatitis B with titer, MMR, Tdap, Varicella, TB IGRA or chest x‑ray - Successful applicants must complete a 10‑panel urine drug screen and criminal background check
- Must work and reside in Oregon
Education
- Completed 25 hours of continuing education in areas such as massage techniques, thermal modalities, range of motion, anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, pathology, ethics, cultural competency, body mechanics, somatic education, BLS, pain management, instructor training, and related workshops
Experience
- Prior experience teaching Massage Therapy in classroom or clinical setting
- Familiarity with OBMT standards, accreditation, and continuing education
- Experience with instructional strategies and educational theory

The instructor will develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans, provide theoretical and practical instruction, and support students in achieving licensure competencies. Administrative duties related to program accreditation and credentialing requirements will also be performed.
