  Thursday classes primarily, with possible Tuesday/Friday and weekend teaching in restorative functions during Fall and Spring terms.

• Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting program or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated teaching ability and clinical skills.

• Current certifications: CDA, EFDA, EFODA, Oregon Radiology license, Pit and Fissure Sealants, Denture Soft Relines, CPR card.

• Must work and reside in the state of Oregon at the time the work is being performed.

• Gingival Cord packing certificate.
• Teaching experience in a community college atmosphere.
• Experience performing restorative functions.

Faculty are professional educators responsible for providing a quality learning experience for all Dental Assisting students. The faculty member is a teacher of record and facilitator of learning.

• Teach assigned Dental Assisting classes.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the clinical aspects of general dentistry and all specialties.
• Maintain current knowledge of Dental Assisting theory and practice.
• Discern and demonstrate proper technique in all chairside assisting aspects.
