Position: Office Assistant 1 or 2 - Bilingual

Office Assistant (Bilingual) – Centralized Call Center

Hourly Rate
: $21.92 – $29.24

Position Summary:

This position is in our Centralized Call Center that serves as a contact point for all 6 of our health centers. Office Assistants assist with a variety of administrative tasks and duties, including front desk coverage, establishing new patients, outbound appointment scheduling, filing medical records, insurance verification, accurate cash handling, record keeping, data entry and verification of client demographic information. The role functions as a Bilingual Customer Service Representative, providing assistance to Primary Care Teams by answering incoming calls, scheduling, and transmitting information to care teams.

Daily Functions Include:

  • Respond to incoming phone calls and voicemail messages from patients and community partners.
  • Schedule patients appropriately using call center triage tools.
  • Efficiently manage communications from patients, physicians, specialists, insurance companies.
  • Document pertinent information on tasks and emails that are sent to triage, care teams and other administrative staff.
  • Establish and maintain solid working relationships through communication, cooperation and positive interactions with all patients, employees, staff and providers.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of general clerical and office assistance experience (Office Assistant 1 requires 1 year; Office Assistant 2 requires 2 years).
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish demonstrated by completing a bilingual test.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both languages.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of communications.

Travel Requirements: Ability to travel between clinic locations during onboarding and training.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
