Supply Chain Manager - Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Development | Electronics Manufacturing
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead our supply chain selection and development process. This strategic leadership role encompasses strategic sourcing
, supplier management
, materials acquisition, and inventory management functions within a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will drive operational efficiency, maximize profitability, and develop innovative supply chain strategies that support our business objectives.
- Oversee new product supply chain development strategies and implementation
- Lead supplier selection
, development, qualification, and performance management processes - Develop and execute commodity strategies and identify supply base gaps and opportunities
- Manage planning of finished goods and purchasing of raw materials, supplies, and equipment
- Optimize ERP system utilization to efficiently manage material purchases aligned with business plans
- Control and balance inventory management to optimize cost, availability, and working capital metrics
- Monitor and report critical inventory control metrics and implement corrective measures as needed
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, R&D, and project management teams
- Manage MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) parts and equipment procurement
- Leverage market knowledge and supplier relationships to deliver annual cost savings and increased efficiencies
- Partner with R&D and engineering teams to identify and analyze cost reduction opportunities
- Provide leadership and management to the supply chain team, including hiring, development, performance evaluations, and budget management
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration
, Supply Chain Management
, or equivalent field - Minimum 10 years of experience in materials management within a manufacturing environment
- At least 5 years of leadership experience managing strategic sourcing, supplier development, inventory control, and purchasing functions
- Expertise in the electronics industry or similar consumer products sector
- Proven experience sourcing electronic and mechanical commodities
- Strong knowledge of material planning theory and best practices
- Demonstrated success driving sourcing and materials management in a fast-paced global supply chain environment
- Comprehensive understanding of supply management
, production, and inventory control methods - Proven leadership abilities with focus on building healthy team culture and motivating staff
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
, project management tools, and sourcing applications - Expert-level experience with fully integrated ERP and MRP systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining adherence to policies and procedures
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to visit outsourced vendors and suppliers
Annual Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 USD
