JOB PURPOSE
This position works out of our Rexdale Canada location where we produce Hellmann’s Mayonnaise. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Lead will lead and develop a team of Production Supervisors, emerge as a strong liaison to Maintenance, Planning, Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence, while being responsible for key business metrics (OEE, Attainment, OR, Operations Cost). This role will provide collaboration to all factory cross functional teams and support the operations manager in the delivery of business goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain safe systems of work within your team
  • Facilitate the performance and development of a team of 3 salaried supervisors and hourly employees
  • Drive leadership through people management, discipline, development, promotions, and motivation within a changing environment
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve productivity goals
  • Lead and direct process improvement, problem solving, and crisis management for operational issues
  • Deliver key operational goals, including safety, quality, cost, operating plant efficiency, and waste reduction
  • Driving consistency in business agenda’s, performance, accountability, and morale across all shifts
  • All other responsibilities as assigned
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or other related field
  • 5 years supply chain experience with time spent in a manufacturing environment, Foods CPG and Union experience is a plus
  • Previous experience directly supervising others, experience leading salary teammates is a plus
  • Previous work experience in unionzied environment is an asset
  • Understanding of safety, quality, GMP, and housekeeping requirements
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems, strong analytical and technical thought process, and experience in continuous improvement methodology preferred
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills, as well as effective presentation skills
  • Ability to strategize and yield creative solutions to complex problems
  • Pay: The pay range for this position is $84,900-$127,300. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

    Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
