Position Summary
Under the general direction of the Housekeeping Manager, the Hotel Houseperson is responsible for maintaining an exceptionally clean and inviting environment for our hotel guests and responding to specific room supply requests in a timely manner. They must always adhere and work according to the policies, procedures, quality standards and services established by the management team for the satisfaction of internal and external guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain the cleanliness of guest floors and linen area (vacuum guest hallways daily)Ensure laundry for cleaning supplies (casino, hotel, F&B) is done on an assigned basisReport any damage or other maintenance issues in public areasRespond in a courteous and welcoming manner to guest questionsOperate cleaning equipment in a safe manner following all standard operating proceduresDelivering linens, cots, extra supplies to guest rooms upon requestMaintain linen closets clean, stock and organizeEnsure inventory of guest room products are stocked for room attendant cartRemoving items from hallways and transporting to service areas, including debris, food and beverage trays, soiled linens and trashEnsures compliance with health and safety protocols and maintains a safe and healthy environment.Education and Qualification Requirements:
Previous cleaning experience required with preference given to hotel environmentCustomer service experience requiredAbility to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 11.5 kg or 25 lbs)Ability to multi-taskMust be able to communicate effectivelyAbility to operate basic cleaning equipment and laundry machines; andMust have a safety mindset for self and others.Bilingual (English/French) is an asset but not requiredWork Environment Considerations
