Summer Student; Washbay Attendant

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate a large variety of equipment to move it in and out of the wash bay
• Use a pressurized water hose to wash equipment and vehicles prior to maintenance work
• Change soap barrels and nozzels for pressure washer as required
• Inspect wash bay grates and sump levels and report any concerns
• Keep the wash bay organized and clean of mud and debris
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalency certificate
• Must have completed at least one year of post-secondary education and be returning to post-secondary education in the fall
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights

Schedule

This position currently follows a 28-day shift rotation working 12-hour day and night shifts from 6:00 to 6:00. The shift rotation is: 3 days, 2 off, 2 nights, 3 off, 2 days, 2 off, 3 nights, 2 off, 2 days, 3 off, 2 nights, 2 off. Employment will start at the beginning of May and conclude at the end of August.

Location

The Estevan Mine is located approximately 12 km from the city of Estevan and 16 km from the town of Bienfait. The successful candidate will be responsible for his/her own accommodations and transportation.
