Employer Name: Westmoreland Mining Holdings LLC - Estevan Mine

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this position is responsible for a variety of tasks within the lab department and provides assistance as required. This position is required to work a twelve‑hour shift schedule.

• Responsible for ensuring coal quality specifications are met
• Perform laboratory procedures and analysis on coal, char and activated carbon samples to compare product quality to customer specifications
• Provide the required summary reports of product quality to management and operations to direct plant process adjustments
• Perform analysis as required for other areas of the plant and mine operation
• Provide additional support to the plant and mine with other assigned duties as required

• High School Diploma or GED
• Post‑secondary diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology or related field
• Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities
• Candidates must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Word
