Sage Intacct Designer

This position will report to the Executive Director, Client Services. This position can be located remotely in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and customize Sage Intacct to meet business needs, ensuring seamless integration with existing financial and operational workflows.
• Develop and optimize financial reports, dashboards, and analytics within Sage Intacct, ensuring accuracy and usability for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, identify pain points, and recommend efficient solutions within the software.
• Implement best practices in financial management by ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls across Sage Intacct configurations.
• Support data migration and integration efforts, leveraging SQL, scripting languages, and data integration tools when applicable.
• Troubleshoot system issues, resolve technical challenges, and provide guidance on enhancing system performance.
• Document system configurations, workflows, and customizations to maintain clear records of implemented solutions.
• Train end-users on Sage Intacct functionalities and best practices to enhance system adoption.

Key Attributes:

• Expertise in Sage Intacct: Deep understanding of its modules, reporting, automation, and customization capabilities.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to diagnose system inefficiencies, troubleshoot issues, and design effective solutions.
• Financial & Accounting Knowledge: Strong grasp of GAAP, general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, cash management, and budgeting.
• Technical Acumen: Experience with SQL, scripting languages, and data integration tools is a plus.
• Client-Focused Excellence: You place a premium on client satisfaction by deeply understanding their unique financial processes, respective business need, and continuous support, are integral to your role in driving client success and long-term loyalty.
• Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in configurations, reporting, and system setup to prevent errors or inconsistencies.
• Strong Communication Skills: Able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users and collaborate effectively across departments.
• Team-Oriented: Works well within cross-functional teams to align system design with business needs.

Work Environment:

Work can take place either in an open office setting or remote setting with the expectation to travel onsite based on business and management needs. This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work a flexible and regular full-time schedule. It requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time and communicate effectively with a diverse audience in person, by phone and by computer.
