Our program runs for 3 hours in the afternoon from Monday to Friday (roughly 2:30 pm–5:30 pm).

Teacher certification in Elementary Education is required. Previous experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred. Other qualities sought include excellent verbal and written communication skills, use of technology, a growth mindset, proactive problem solving, teamwork, innovative thinking, creativity, patience, and flexibility.

The 21st Century Extended Day Program mission is to nurture intellectual curiosity and reinforce self‑confidence in our students through goal‑oriented, project‑based learning that builds practical skills and develops character. The Academic Enrichment Teacher develops and teaches classes with a strong academic component that demonstrates a link to school day learning, using the Nashua School District Curriculum. They provide students with support with their homework so students can meet their grade‑level expectations, use effective strategies for differentiation, interact positively and professionally, show respect with students and parents, expect students to learn and not fail, and actively engage students in completion of lessons that are planned around grade‑level expectations and enhance critical‑thinking skills.
