A licensed Optician at Sunglass Hut will serve as an ambassador of the Sunglass Hut brand by delivering great service through the Sunglass Hut Experience. You will be an on-the-floor leader, filling ophthalmic sunglass prescriptions and fitting/adapting lenses and frames. In addition, you will be performing all functions related to the Sunglass Hut Experience and Store Operations to support and assist management in achieving sales goals, including learning and maintaining knowledge of the policies and procedures for opening, closing, and operating the store.

• Welcome all customers and set expectations with them
• Custom‑fit glasses and precisely place prescription in lenses
• Act as a leader in optical acumen
• Take and record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs
• Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions
• Use technology accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume, while demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and using appropriate tools
• Proactively explore root causes of issues, think forward, ensure customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded, and stay solution‑driven
• Ability to multi‑task, prioritize and manage time with competing priorities
• Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies
• Take pride in store appearance and help keep the store clean, attractive and organized
• Be resourceful, self‑motivated with a desire for continual learning, improvement and results
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions and inventory management

• High School graduate or equivalent
• State licensure in opticianry
• Optical dispensing experience
• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener and team builder
• Knowledge of current store merchandise
• Strong basic math skills
• Awareness of current fashion trends
• Selling skills – ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet
• Familiarity with POS, computers and calculators
• Embrace new technology and change

• Previous customer service and retail experience
