As a Server, you’ll be responsible for resident interaction with the dining program for the community. From daily operations of the restaurant and bar to catering and special events, this position requires an individual who routinely exercises good judgment and exceptional problem‑solving skills. As the face of the dining experience, maintaining positivity and diplomacy in a fast‑paced environment is critical while upholding standards and authentically delivering on our Values and Global Service Standards.
YourResponsibilities
- Prepare restaurant for lunch/dining by setting decorations, condiments, napkins, and utensils
- Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
- Explain the chef's specialties; identify appropriate wines; answer food preparation questions
- Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations, noting when kitchen staff are running low on items
- Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording resident choices; identify resident special dietary needs and special requests
- Serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen; deliver accompaniments and condiments from service bars
- Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observe dining process
- Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenish utensils; refill water glasses; be alert to patron spills or other special needs
- Properly open and pour wine at the tableside
- Obtain revenue by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; returning credit card and signature slip to resident
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
- Critical thinking, problem solving, judgement and decision‑making abilities are necessary
- Ability to maintain positivity and diplomacy in a fast‑paced environment
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to interact and communicate successfully with residents and team
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent time‑management skills and multitasking ability
- Progressive people‑management skills
- Ability to work in various positions, including stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods; climbing stairs, navigating property/building quickly and easily as required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures
Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time - Handle, finger, grasp, and feel objects and equipment
- Reach with hands and arms
- Repeat various motions with wrists, hands, and fingers
Open availability required.
What We OfferAs a full‑time non‑exempt associate, you will be eligible for full comprehensive benefits to include your choice of multiple medical plans, dental, and vision. In addition, you will be eligible for time‑off benefits, paid holidays, and a 401(k) with company match. Occasional travel may be required to attend training and other company functions.
Compensation$12.00 per hour plus tips
