FVRC is seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and skilled Emergency Veterinarian Mentee to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated DVM who values delivering exceptional patient care and enjoys collaborating with a team of highly trained specialists. We welcome new graduates or general practitioners with a passion for emergency medicine.

• State-of-the-Art Facility: Located just minutes from the pristine beaches of Southwest Florida, FVRC is fully equipped with advanced technology to support our veterinary team, including a brand-new CT, extensive in-house diagnostic laboratory, ICU, digital radiology, ultrasonography, laparoscopy, and video endoscopy. Our Emergency Department has a well-rounded and collegial team of 6 ER clinicians, with specialty care in Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Critical Care through board-certified and residency-trained specialists.

The ER Immerse Program prepares veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. It is designed around core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian, with a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and work-life integration. The program uses a hybrid training approach with simulation-based didactics and live-patient experiences. The curriculum emphasizes competencies and skills essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician.

• 6-month training program beginning in 2026 (rolling start dates available)
• 18-month commitment as an ER clinician at FVRC following training

• Rotate with other specialty services during the training program
• Surgical training required

• No on-call
