Role OverviewAs a School Crossing Patrol Officer in the School Crossing Patrol Team, you will support schools every morning and every afternoon, ensuring the safety of all pedestrians crossing the road to and from school and its surrounding locations. The position is permanent and term‑time.
Responsibilities- Support schools each morning and afternoon, ensuring pedestrian safety at school crossings.
- Maintain punctuality and reliability for all scheduled shifts.
- Engage with the public in a friendly and approachable manner.
- Use uniform, equipment, and training provided by the Council.
We are looking for a punctual, reliable, approachable individual who enjoys engaging with the public and can work within the specified time slots.
Working Hours & Pay• Approx. 7.5 hours per week
• 39 academic weeks
• 45 minutes between 08:00 – 09:00 in the morning and 45 minutes between 14:45 – 15:45 in the afternoon (variable by site)
• Pay: £13.00 per hour
