IT Infrastructure Engineer – Migration project - Short term initial contract

On-site as required - Essex

We’re looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support the integration of newly acquired schools into this organisations estate.

You’ll play a key role in Microsoft 365 user and device migrations, working closely with third-party partners and IT teams to deliver a smooth, customer-focused transition. When not migrating, you’ll support our service desk with escalated technical issues.

This is initially a short term engagement and will require working across continual week days and weekend work.

• Leading Microsoft 365, Entra  & Intune migrations
• Preparing users, devices, apps and printers (Paper Cut)
• Providing on-site migration support where required
• Acting as a technical bridge between internal teams and suppliers
• Mentoring and sharing knowledge across IT

• Solid experience in a IT Engineer / Infrastructure Technician role
• Strong Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, Entra  & Intune skills
• Solid networking knowledge (LAN/WAN, VLANs, IP)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Experience in education or Apple/JAMF environments a bonus

Role - IT Infrastructure Engineer

Location - Essex - Onsite

Rate - £250 - £300 per day - Outside of IR35

Work schedule - Weekdays AND Weekends
