Activity Coordinator - Kitwood Ward | Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust

To work as part of the Ward and Ward Therapy team implementing activities for our service users with a diagnosis of Dementia.

• Plan and facilitate group activities suitable for patients with Dementia, guided by Occupational Therapy.
• Develop a rapport with patients to encourage their interest and skills.
• Have a good understanding of Dementia and support patients and their families/carers.
• Be aware of individual patients’ needs and risks through communication with Occupational Therapy and Nursing staff.
• Observe the general behaviour, ability and response of patients to activities.
• Remain aware of situations that may make patients vulnerable or at risk.
• Report any concerns immediately to qualified staff.

• Receive supervision and support to help you fulfil your potential.
• Join an inclusive EPUT community and connect with others through engagement events and equality or champion networks.
• Access mental health and wellbeing services, occupational health advice and counselling.
• Participate in recognition awards to celebrate staff's hard work and dedication.
