- Provide a highly specialised range of clinical interventions and knowledge of evidence-based models of practice relevant to the care group.
- Deliver a high standard of evidence based inpatient nursing care in the designated clinical setting in partnership with the team, the service users and where appropriate their family.
- Act as a primary nurse in the assessment of needs and planning of the patients care.
- You will be working within a multi-disciplinary team, you ll provide care and support to patients with complex and sometimes challenging behaviours. You ll help improve patients quality of life by ensuring their needs are met and that each person is always treated with dignity and respect.
- Main duties of the job:
To deliver a high standard of evidence based inpatient nursing care in the designated clinical setting in partnership with the team, the service users and where appropriate their family. To act as a primary nurse in the assessment of needs and planning of the patients care. To work as part of the nursing team in ensuring that the patient/s are supported utilizing your skills and experience as a mental health nurse enhancing the patient s safety and experience in an adult/children s acute hospital environment.
To provide and develop in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team and other relevant agencies a high-quality service for patients and carers that takes into account individuals physical, psychological, spiritual and social needs. To work within a team of nurses and other professionals who are committed to the delivery of a quality service. To adopt a flexible approach to hours of duty, to meet the needs of the service throughout the duration of the shift.
To take charge of a designated clinical area and deputize as appropriate. To represent the clinical team perspective at multidisciplinary meetings and clinical reviews of patient care. Contribute to and ensure a therapeutic and safe environment is maintained while on duty for patients, staff & visitors be an active participant in the multi-disciplinary team, formulating care plans and utilising appropriate assessments.
