Main duties of the job

As a Registered Midwife at our Essex clinic, you'll receive bespoke training to deliver high-quality, safe, and effective abortion care. Youll work in a team that values personal development, training, and clinical support. Services include:

  • Early Medical Terminations of Pregnancy (up to 9 weeks and 6 days)
  • Surgical Terminations (up to the legal limit of 23 weeks and 6 days)
  • Contraception services

Once fully trained, youll be expected to travel and work independently in our community treatment centres in Southend, Stratford, Dagenham, Romford, and Colchester. Training to become fully competent in the role takes approximately 6 months to 1 year.

Person Specification Experience
  • Your role will encompass a variety of tasks, including working independently in both surgical and community treatment centres. Through our comprehensive training, you'll have the opportunity to expand your competencies, mastering skills such as ultrasound scanning, implant and coil fitting, and more. As you progress and develop your skills, you'll be rewarded for your growth and achievements within MSI UK.
