We are looking for a motivated and experienced Locum Paediatric Mainstream Speech and Language Therapist to join our client based in Essex. This role involves managing your own caseload and working full-time across the borough in mainstream schools. If you are passionate about supporting children's communication development and are ready to start immediately, we encourage you to apply.

What will your responsibilities be :

In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for children in mainstream schools, focusing on enhancing their communication skills. You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans, conduct regular interventions, and review progress. Your responsibilities will include managing your own caseload, working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's care. You will also provide training and support to school staff and families, ensuring they are equipped to support the child's communication needs.

Additionally, you will be responsible for traveling across various schools in the borough to deliver these services.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Registered Speech and Language Therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Experience working with children in a mainstream school setting
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and evidence-based therapy approaches
  • Excellent assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in providing training and support to school staff and families
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload
  • Willingness to travel across schools within the borough
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest research and best practices in the field
