Senior Accounts Assistant

Pure are working with an established and growing business who are looking for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join its finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a hands‑on role with responsibility for Purchase Ledger activities and support across the wider finance function.

• Oversee Accounts Payable, including invoice processing and payment runs
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries
• Review employee expense claims
• Support and mentor junior team members
• Assist with Accounts Receivable and credit control when required
• Support bank reconciliations
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end processes
• Maintain accurate records for audit purposes
• Support reporting and ad‑hoc finance projects

• AAT qualified or part‑qualified (or equivalent experience)
• Previous experience in an accounts / finance role
• Strong Accounts Payable knowledge
• Confident using Excel and MS Office
• Experience with accounting systems
• Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills
• Able to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities

Initially this is a 6 month contract but may have the opportunity to go permanent for the right individual.

This is a full tme office role but does offer flexibility as and when needed in a great culture and environment.
