As an Assistant Town Planner, you will play a vital role in supporting this company’s team of experienced planners in delivering comprehensive planning services to their client. Responsibilities- Research and Analysis:
Conduct thorough research on planning policies, regulations, and local development plans. Provide insightful analysis to support the decision-making process. - Application Processing:
Assist in the preparation, submission, and monitoring of planning applications. Ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and deadlines. - Client Interaction:
Liaise with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to gather information and maintain positive relationships. Keep clients informed about the progress of their projects. - Report Writing:
Prepare clear and concise planning reports, including site assessments, impact assessments, and feasibility studies. - Collaboration:
Work closely with senior planners and other team members to contribute to the development and implementation of planning strategies. - Site Visits:
Conduct site visits to assess local conditions, understand project requirements, and identify potential challenges. - Continued Professional Development:
Stay informed about changes in planning legislation and industry trends. Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Town Planning or a related field.
- Knowledge of UK planning policies, regulations, and procedures.
