Pulse is actively seeking a highly skilled Consultant Clinical Oncologist with expertise in Lung and Gastrointestinal (GI) cancers to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of high quality cancer care, contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of our oncology services.

This is a full time position (12 month FTC) and the successful candidate will play a crucial role in the delivery of high quality care to our patients.

In the role of a Consultant Clinical Oncologist, the key responsibilities include delivering expert clinical care to patients diagnosed with Lung and Gastrointestinal (GI) cancers. This involves actively participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to collaboratively formulate treatment plans and monitor patient progress.

Additionally, the position entails contributing to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols, emphasising a commitment to advancing and maintaining high standards of patient care. The healthcare professional is expected to engage actively in clinical research and participate in relevant trials to contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge and treatment modalities. Furthermore, the role involves providing supervision and training to junior medical staff, fostering their professional development, and actively contributing to the education of other healthcare professionals within the clinical setting.

Requirements
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • CCT in Clinical Oncology or be within 6 months of obtaining it at the time of application.
  • Specialist registration in Clinical Oncology.
  • Extensive experience in the management of Lung and GI cancers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
