Key Responsibilities
Carry out pre‑inspections and work‑in‑progress inspections on occupied social housing properties requiring responsive repair works.
Work jointly with partnering contractor supervisors where required.
Complete post‑inspections and quality checks to ensure completed works meet expected standards and align with photographic evidence supplied.
Review repair jobs as part of the monthly application process, deciding whether works should be approved or disputed.
Use and interpret the Nat Fed Schedule of Rates to scope, assess, and validate repair works.
Prepare minor specifications of works for more complex responsive repair cases.
Travel as needed for inspections - access to a vehicle and appropriate business insurance is essential.
Requirements
Minimum HNC in Building Surveying (or equivalent).
Strong understanding of responsive repairs within social housing.
Experience using the Nat Fed Schedule of Rates.
Ability to assess quality, challenge contractor submissions, and produce clear technical documentation.
Full UK driving licence and access to a suitably insured vehicle.
