Senior Construction Procurement Manager

We're partnering with a Local Authority in Essex to recruit an experienced Senior Construction Procurement Manager (Interim - 12 months or longer). This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on procurement professional who wants to make a tangible impact.

Rate: 550 per day (umbrella)

You'll play a key role in delivering an ambitious housing investment programme-supporting improvements to over 9,000 council homes, with 70m allocated to this year's capital programme alone. This is procurement with purpose, where your work directly benefits the local community.

Location:

Harlow (2 days on site)

• Leading end-to-end construction procurement activity
• Preparing and managing tender processes through to contract award
• Supporting delivery of projects both above and below PA23 thresholds
• Providing guidance and oversight to direct reports, ensuring high-quality output and performance
• Collaborating closely with Property and Procurement colleagues across a varied and high-value pipeline

• Enjoys being hands-on in procurement delivery
• Has strong public-sector or regulated procurement experience
• Is confident managing complex construction tenders
• Thrives in a dynamic, delivery-focused environment
• Wants to add real value to a major housing programme
