Location:
London / South East
Salary: £75,000 - £95,000 + package
We are working with a well-established drylining specialist contractor with a long-standing presence across London and the South East, delivering high-value packages on major commercial, residential and mixed-use projects. Due to continued growth and a strong forward order book, they are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.
The Role
You will take senior-level commercial responsibility for multiple drylining packages and/or projects, acting as a key link between site teams, clients and senior management.
Key responsibilities include:
Full commercial leadership of drylining packages from pre-contract through to final account
Managing and negotiating subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts
Providing accurate cost reporting, forecasting and risk management
Working closely with project teams to protect margin and drive commercial performance
Acting as a commercial lead in client meetings and negotiations
Mentoring and supporting junior QSs and Assistant QSs
Requirements
8+ years' Quantity Surveying experience, with strong longevity and progression within specialist or contractor-led businesses
Proven background within drylining / interiors / specialist subcontracting
Strong contractual knowledge (JCT experience essential)
Confident managing large-value packages and complex variations
Commercially astute, proactive and comfortable operating at senior level
